Hasn't been said already? Put honestly, this film has all the right qualities to make it a must-see movie. Much has been opined about the superb one-liners, the deliciously hammy acting, the fact that you're almost jealous that anybody in the name of work should be clearly having so much fun!
The film is massively better than the sum of its parts. Were it deconstructed, the continuity would be laughable, the dialogue preposterous, the actors camp, and the story tinny.
But, without fear of contradiction, this is one of the greatest films ever made. You must see it, and then see a hundred times. There is never a wet afternoon when this isn't the perfect movie. 9.5/10.
